Dr Aparna Goswami - GP

 

Dr Aparna Goswami is the principal GP and owner of Windsor Road Family Practice. She has more than 10 years of experience in medical practice in Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and holds the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate as well.

 

Dr Goswami is a proficient doctor in Winston Hills with a special interest in Maternal and Child Health, including Family Planning, Antenatal Shared Care and Immunisation. She is highly skilled in performing small office-based procedures like Suturing Laceration, Implanon insertion and removal. She is keenly interested in Geriatric Medicine as well as Rehabilitation.

 

Aparna has in-depth knowledge of the prevention of communicable diseases, and she has completed a Master's in Public Health (MPH) and research in Infectious Diseases. She also provides consultations for the management of Mental Health.

 

Dr Aparna Goswami is bilingual and fluent in English as well as Bengali.

 

Dr Rumana Husain - GP

MBBS, MPH, FRACGP


Dr Rumana Husain is a General Practitioner and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Dr Husain  has achieved her clinical experience by working in General Practice and Hospital based medicine in Bangladesh and Australia.

Dr Rumana Husain is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her special interests include women’s health, childrens health, aged care, sexual & reproductive health, mental health, endocrinology, cardiology, preventive health and chronic disease management.
Dr Rumana Husain is passionate about health outcomes of the patients. Her hobbies includes music, travelling and reading.
Dr Husain can speak fluent Bengali. 

 

Dr Layla Yasmeen - GP

 

Dr Layla Yasmeen graduated from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 1990. She spent the next 10 years working in surgery in Bangladesh and became a specialist Paediatric surgeon in 2001. She has started working in Australia since 2005 at Hornsby Hospital. She has worked at the Westmead Children's Hospital as well as at Westmead hospital as an emergency trainee and is currently working as a part time advanced trainee and senior registrar in Lidcombe Bankstown Emergency department. Layla has joined the Wentworthville Medical & Dental Centre in 2017 and her particular interests include aged care, paediatrics and women's health. Layla also has an interest in the area of medical education and enjoys teaching medical students.

 

Dr Sandra Morell - GP

General Practitioner, Female

Dr Morell has worked in the Hills District for the last 20 + years as a GP/Psychotherapist.

She was previously trained as a RN (Singapore) and midwifery in Scotland. She completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney. She has had several years' experience as a RACGP examiner. She is also a GP supervisor. Dr Morell also offers Yellow Fever Vaccinations. Teaching medical students and GP Registrars is a passion that Dr Morell enjoys. It is also important for patients to develop a relationship with the GP, in order to establish a good rapport. She has an interest in General Medicine in all stages of life. She is also interested in Women & Children's Health. In her spare time, she spends time with her family, which includes 4 dogs.

Dr Ramesh Ranjan- Endocrinologist

Dr Ramessh is an endocrinologist and staff specialist at The Canberra Hospital and Barton Specialist Clinic.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, before attaining his fellowship in both endocrinology and general medicine.

He is passionate in providing quality, holistic care and working collaboratively with patients to improve their health outcomes.

Ramesh enjoys spending time with his young family and playing basketball, squash and cricket.

Dr Amit Gupta, Geriatrician

My special interests include assessment of cognition and dementia, assessment of falls, Parkinson’s disease, depressive disorders in the elderly, and chronic medical conditions including cardiovascular and other neurological problems.

I graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2005 and then completed physician training at Concord, Westmead and Nepean Hospitals before specialising and obtaining FRACP in 2018.

I have clinical privileges at Nepean Hospital, Holroyd Private Hospital, Minchinbury Community Hospital and Westmead Rehab Hospital. I visit the frail elderly living in residential aged care facilities. Many services I provide include but are not limited to.
